Benefits of Joining

WHY DEMOLAY? If you are searching for a way to have fun, make new friends, and learn leadership and decision—making skills, you owe it to yourself to check out DeMolay-the international service organization for young men ages 12 to 21.

HOW DOES DEMOLAY WORK? DeMolay chapters are run by fellow DeMolays. Each chapter meets twice a month and determines its own activities and programs. Typically, groups play a lot of sports, such as softball, basketball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. They also organize and participate in dances and social events and perform community service and fundraising projects. According to alumni, the key to DeMolay's success is that it gives each chapter the opportunity to lead and make decisions for itself. Adult advisors are available to help, but the chapter makes the decisions and plans the activities.

IS DEMOLAY A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION? No. Although members are encouraged to have an active belief in God, DeMolay is not sponsored by any church or religious organization. DeMolay respects and encourages each individual's beliefs.

HOW DO I JOIN? The only requirements for membership in DeMolay are that you be between the ages of 12 and 21 and be of good character and reputation. If that sounds like you, contact Nebraska DeMolay. You'll be glad you did.
